Auntie’s House: Skinfolk Reunion with Dear Silas (July Recap)
Cousins, that was one for the books. 💿✨
Our Skinfolk Reunion edition of Auntie’s House was more than just a vibe; it was a full-on family reunion. From start to finish, we poured into each other like only family can. This time, we had the honor of hosting Dear Silas for his Cadillac Leather in July Tour, a full-circle moment since he was our very first music guest at Auntie’s House.
The energy was Southern, soulful, and smooth like a fresh waxed Caddy. Folks pulled up and posted up at our Cadillac portrait station. On the Auntie’s Den side, we took it back with vinyl listening sessions and a good ol’ fashioned Spades tournament. You already know the table talk was loud and the competition was real.
Our skinfolk vendors held it down with everything from handmade candles to pineapple bowls. Supporting Black and Brown owned businesses is always part of the mission. And the soundtrack? Unmatched. Lauren Light and DJ Hella Yella held it down.
This wasn’t just an event, it was a reminder of what happens when we gather with intention, joy, and deep roots.
Thank you to everyone who came through, danced, played, bought Black and Brown, and made this reunion one to remember.
We’ll see you at the next Auntie’s House.
